Ruud van Nistelrooy shortens into 4/7 to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked

Betting odds are still given on the dreaded Sack Race with Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy shortening even further into just 4/7 with UK Betting Sites to be the next manager to leave.

The market has changed right around in the past week with Van Nistelrooy's odds slashed from 13/8 into 4/7 to leave next after his Leicester side were thumped 4-0 by Brentford on Friday evening.

That match saw the Foxes fans boo their team after just 32 minutes with a 15-minute flurry of goals by the Bees seeing them take a three goal lead into half time.

Pressure is now heaped on Van Nistelrooy with Leicester becoming the first team in Premier League history to lose six home games in a row without scoring.

BetVictor have now shortened the Dutch manager's odds into 4/7 favourite to leave next with the odds giving an implied probability of 63.6% that he departs.

Ange Postecoglou drifts out to 4/1 after Tottenham's 4-1 win against Ipswich

Pressure has eased off Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou after their 4-1 win away to Ipswich saw his odds drift out from Sack Race favourite to 4/1.

Postecoglou has long been the market leader to be the next manager to leave but this week sees him move out to second favourite in the market.

Tottenham face struggling Man City in their next league game before a lengthy break after they were knocked out of the FA Cup.

Leicester now heavily odds-on to be relegated

It now looks increasingly likely that we will see all three of last season's promoted teams head straight back down to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Foxes are now as short as 1/25 to be relegated this season and follow behind Southampton in the market, with Ipswich wrapping up the top three at 1/10.

Leicester's struggles have seen the gap lengthen between them and 17th place Ipswich with a 5 point gap now between potential relegation and Premier League safety.
