Mo Salah is now heavy favourite to win this season's PFA Player of the Year award

Betting odds continue to be offered on the PFA Player of the Year award with Liverpool's Mo Salah now shortening even further into just 2/5 with UK Betting Sites to be crowned winner this season.

Salah has been on fire for Arne Slot's Liverpool this season scoring 18 goals and grabbing 13 assists on the way to leading the Reds to the top of the Premier League table.

Despite regular talk about Salah's contract with the club, which runs out at the end of the season, this has not distracted the Egyptian with a string of massive performances for the Reds.

Bet365 have now shortened Salah into just 2/5 to win the PFA Player of the Year award for the 2024/25 season with those odds giving an implied probability of 71.4% that he wins once again.

The Egyptian King has previously won the award on two occasions back in 2017-18 and 2021-22 and winning here would make him the first player to win three.

Cole Palmer the only real contender for the award according to the latest betting market

Cole Palmer is seemingly the only real contender in the betting market against Mo Salah with the Chelsea star in second place at 9/2 for the award.

OLBG reported earlier this season that Palmer was the 3/1 favourite in the market for the PFA POTY but he's now drifted into second favourite behind Salah.

Palmer won the PFA Young Player of the Year award last campaign after a stunning debut season at the Blues and it's no surprise to see him in the running for the main award this season.

Phil Foden was crowned PFA Player of the Year last season

Last year's PFA Player of the Year was awarded to Manchester City's Phil Foden after a stunning campaign saw him fire Pep Guardiola's men to their fourth successive Premier League title.

Foden scored 19 league goals and grabbed 8 assists on the way to winning the PFA Player of the Year award and he added the trophy onto his two Young Player of the Year awards.

This season though has been the complete opposite with the English midfielder struggling to get going for the Sky Blues and that has been one of many reasons why City have not been challenging for the title.
