Stephen Kenny is set to leave his role as manager when his contract expires

Stephen Kenny's contract is set to officially expire on Tuesday evening as soon as their end-of-season friendly against New Zealand finishes.

Kenny's contract would have continued until March if Ireland had managed to secure a play-off place through the Nations League to try and qualify for the Euros next summer.

Instead though Ireland have failed under Kenny and now have a wait until September next year to have another meaningful game with the return of the Nations League.

The Kenny era ends with a near full house at the Aviva and he will be hoping to end his spell in charge with a win to at least end on somewhat of a high.
