Forest Sack Dyche as Relegation Fears Grow

Betting experts have quickly priced up the Next Nottingham Forest Manager market after the club confirmed that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties.

Forest were held to a goalless draw at home by bottom club Wolves on Wednesday and now sit just three points above the Premier League relegation zone with 12 matches remaining.

Dyche, 54, had only taken charge in October, succeeding Ange Postecoglou and signing a contract until summer 2027. However, results failed to spark the turnaround the board had hoped for.

Forest now search for their fourth manager of the season, with survival the immediate objective.

Solskjaer Installed as Early Favourite

Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tops the market at 6/4, implying a 40% probability of taking the role.

Solskjaer has been out of Premier League management but remains linked with several roles whenever vacancies arise.

His experience handling high-pressure situations and attacking philosophy could appeal to a Forest side in need of confidence and direction.

When a candidate sits at around 6/4 in a managerial market, it often signals either strong early support or credible links behind the scenes.

De Zerbi and Pereira in Close Pursuit

Just behind is Roberto De Zerbi at 2/1 (33.3%), while Vitor Pereira is priced at 3/1 (25.0%).

De Zerbi’s progressive style continues to attract interest across English football and he is now available after leaving Marseille.

Pereira, meanwhile, is without a club since he was sacked at Wolves earlier this season but could well be the next man for Forest.

Familiar Names in the Frame

Further down the market:

Thomas Frank (5/1) – Recently dismissed at Tottenham, he could re-emerge quickly.

Enzo Maresca (6/1) – Without a club since leaving Chelsea, would be a coup.

Sam Allardyce (8/1) – The experienced survival specialist, often mentioned when relegation battles intensify.

Allardyce’s inclusion at 8/1 highlights the seriousness of Forest’s situation, with betting experts factoring in the possibility of a short-term firefighting appointment.

What the expert says...
Forest don’t have the luxury of experimentation. With 12 games left and only three points separating them from danger, the board need immediate impact.
