I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Harry Kane has moved into odds-on favouritism for this year's Ballon d'Or, now priced at 10/11 with bet365
  • Lamine Yamal remains the clearest challenger at 3/1, with Rodri following at 5/1
  • Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele round out the leading contenders further down the market

Kane's Position Continues To Strengthen

The race for this year's Ballon d'Or has taken another significant step, with bookmakers now making Harry Kane the odds-on favourite.

Bet365 have shortened his price further, a continuation of the trend that's seen him hold top spot in the market for some time now, and this latest movement suggests growing confidence that his sustained club form is translating into genuine award-winning credentials.

It's a notable shift from earlier in the race, when the gap between Kane and Spain's World Cup winners looked considerably tighter.

That gap has now widened again, suggesting his club form has continued to outweigh the international success enjoyed by several of his closest rivals.

Yamal Remains The Clearest Threat

Behind Kane, Lamine Yamal continues to hold the next shortest price at 3/1.

As one of the standout performers of Spain's World Cup triumph, Yamal remains a serious contender in this race, and his continued position as clearest challenger shows that international success still carries genuine weight with voters, even as Kane's price has continued to shorten elsewhere.

Rodri, another key figure in Spain's World Cup success and the tournament's Golden Ball winner, follows at 5/1.

Ballon d'Or 2026 Winner Odds

Ballon d'Or 2026 Winner
OddsImplied Probability
Harry Kane10/1152.4%
Lamine Yamal3/125.0%
Rodri5/116.7%
Kylian Mbappe6/114.3%
Lionel Messi14/16.7%
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia16/15.9%
Ousmane Dembele16/15.9%

An implied probability above 52% for Kane shows just how strongly the market has moved in his favour, with Yamal the only other player currently trading above 20% implied probability in what remains a genuinely competitive race behind the favourite.

The Rest Of The Contenders

Mbappe sits at 6/1, continuing to be mentioned among the sport's elite despite growing competition at the top of the market.

Further back, Lionel Messi remains a live outsider at 14/1, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele round out the leading names, both priced at 16/1.

What the expert says...
Kane's making this look like his award to lose, and if he keeps performing at this level, I wouldn't be shocked to see him shorten even further before voting takes place. Kane's got a real shout given what he did at the World Cup, that kind of tournament performance sticks in voters' minds.
