Bookies have already installed David Artell as the 4/1 favourite in the betting market with full odds available on who will be Adams' replacement at the club.

Artell is a former Morecambe player with the most appearances in his career playing for the Shrimps and it may well be that it's him who takes over next.

The former centre-back has had managerial experience before at Crewe and has been without a role since leaving them back in 2022 but has appeared in a number of betting markets.

BetVictor now suggest there's a 20% chance that he takes over at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium next with the club now looking to appoint a new First Team Manager.

David Artell has been installed as the early favourite to take over at Morecambe next with bookies opening the betting market following Derek Adams departure.

Derek Adams left the club on Monday with Ross County reunion on the cards

The official statement from Morecambe around Derek Adams departure said that he was leaving the club to pursue other options and it looks like that will happen soon.

Adams is set for his third spell in charge of Ross County more than 9 years after his last spell in charge of the Scottish Premiership club.

Malky Mackay was sacked as Ross County manager last week and rumours that Adams could take over the club have been rife throughout the weekend.
