  • Callum Turner now 1/2 to be the next James Bond, shortening from 10/11
  • Aaron Taylor-Johnson drifts out to 7/2 despite previous front-runner status
  • Daily Mail report claims Turner has been "blabbing" about landing the role

Turner Firmly in the Frame for 007 Role

Speculation around the next James Bond has taken a significant turn this week, with Callum Turner now 1/2 favourite to land the role, according to the latest odds from William Hill.

The British actor, known for roles in The Capture and Fantastic Beasts, was previously 10/11 for the part but has been heavily backed after a Daily Mail source claimed he’s been “blabbing all over town” about securing the iconic role of 007.

Reports also hinted that Turner’s partner, pop star Dua Lipa, could be in line to record the next Bond theme, further fuelling speculation that the casting decision has already been made behind closed doors.

Over the past 6 months we've seen multiple actors top the betting market to be the next Bond, but Turner has cemented himself as favourite in recent weeks.

Market Moves

Turner’s continued odds cut suggests that something significant is shifting behind the scenes.

With filming for the next Bond instalment expected to begin within the next 12 months, punters are piling in before any official announcement is made.

Meanwhile, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, long considered the front-runner after reports of screen tests and meetings with Barbara Broccoli, has drifted out to 7/2.

What the expert says...
The fact that Turner is now odds-on with multiple bookies suggests the market thinks this is done. If you still fancy a surprise, 10/1 on Cavill or Norton might be value.

Dua Lipa's Name Surfaces for the Next Bond Theme

With the casting rumours intensifying, attention has also turned to the potential Bond theme song performer and Dua Lipa, Turner's partner, is being strongly tipped.

Bookmakers haven’t released official odds on the Bond theme singer yet, but industry insiders suggest her involvement would “make total sense” given her global appeal, previous soundtrack experience (Barbie, Alita), and current relationship with the hotly-tipped Turner.

Dua Lipa has previously said she’d “love” to do a Bond theme and was even linked with the role in 2019 before Billie Eilish was confirmed for No Time To Die.

With her unique blend of style, cinematic glamour and global fanbase, she’s seen as a perfect fit for the next Bond era.
