Dave Challinor is now the evens favourite to become the next Charlton manager
Betting remains available on who will be the next Charlton manager with current Stockport County boss Dave Challinor moving into evens favourite to take over at The Valley.
BBC Radio Manchester reported on Thursday morning that Challinor has been interviewed for the vacant position after Dean Holden was dismissed on Sunday after a dismal start to the season.
Those reports have seen the betting market completely change in the past 24 hours with Challinor now becoming the evens favourite at the top of the market to become the next Charlton boss.
BetVictor's latest odds say that there's a 50% chance of Challinor taking over the Addicks next but compensation would be expected if they were to take him off Stockport.

What the expert says..
Danny Cowley had moved into favourite but has since drifted out slightly in the betting
Danny Cowley was another manager who had been linked with the Charlton position this week and those rumours made him come into favourite in the betting market to take over.
Now though Cowley sits behind Challinor as second favourite in the market to become the next Charlton manager with his odds currently at 2/1.
Cowley tends to manage with his brother Nicky as a managerial duo and it will need to be the right club for him to come back into management for the first time since leaving Portsmouth back in January.

Betting on the Next Charlton Athletic Manager
Charlton are 40/1 to win League One this season after their poor start
Charlton's poor start to the season has seen their odds to win League One drift right out to 40/1 with their odds much shorter before the season got underway.
The Addicks recent results have seen them lose to Bristol Rovers, Port Vale and Oxford United and whoever comes in will have a tough job on their hands.
Derby County sit in 8th place in the league but are top of the betting odds to win League One this year with their odds currently 7/2.
