Joey Barton was sacked by Bristol Rovers at the end of October and there's still no replacement

The Gas are still looking for a new manager after they sacked Joey Barton towards the end of October after a poor run of form saw them drop to 16th in the table.

Current caretaker boss Andy Mangan has taken charge of 5 games in all competitions and won 4 of them which makes for decent form when it comes to his chances of taking over.

The latest reports say that Mangan would be "delighted" to takeover as full time boss of the club and his time in charge as caretaker could make the board decide to give him the job permanently.

Portsmouth remain the odds-on favourites to go up this season after their unbeaten start to the season in the league continued with 10 wins and 6 draws of their opening 16 games.
