Man City have 50% chance of points deduction according to latest odds

Manchester City’s 115 charges trial has been on the mouths of every football fan in the past year and now we’re getting even closer to knowing the outcome with betting sites now giving odds on what will happen.

City are now evens with betting sites to face a points deduction as the outcome of the trial with various finance experts mentioning the chances of big points deductions throughout the build-up to the trial taking place.

Both Everton and Nottingham Forest have received points deductions around PSR in the past and any deductions that could be given to City could see them hit with heavy points taken off that may put them close to relegation in the Premier League.

City have consistently spoken of their innocence since the day they were charged by the Premier League and the best outcome for them would be a fine for non-compliance.

The Premier League champions are 5/2 to receive a fine as the outcome for the trial with a 28.6% implied probability that this happens.

Pep Guardiola’s men are 20/1 to have their trophies rescinded

One of the big outsiders in the market sees odds of 20/1 given that City have trophies rescinded as part of the outcome of their trial.

Those odds suggest a probability of 4.8% that City lose trophies that they have won following the 115 charges trial which is set to wrap up in the coming weeks.

Losing trophies would be a real blow for City with those trophies potentially going to runner-ups in title races and cup finals.

City’s poor season sees them now out to 25/1 to win the Premier League

The form of Manchester City throughout the Premier League season has given Pep Guardiola a big headache with injuries damaging any hopes of making it five in-a-row this campaign

Rodri’s massive ACL injury back in September against Arsenal ruled him out for the season and seemed to be the start of City’s struggles this season.

Now they are 25/1 to win the Premier League title with the club currently sitting in 6th in the league and 12 points behind leaders Liverpool.
