Luke Campbell now leads the way to be the Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire
Former Olympic boxing champion Luke Campbell will be Reform UK's candidate for the Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire with the election set for May and betting odds now put him as the favourite to win.
Local hero Campbell appeared alongside Reform UK Nigel Farage at a rally for the party in Hull last week to confirm that he would be running for the party at the next election.
The former Boxer told the crowd that, "I’ve always been a Labour man - my dad was a miner, my mum worked in a factory, it’s always been Labour,” but that they have "failed the country" leaving him to run for Reform UK.
Now the latest odds put Campbell as the 1/2 favourite to become Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire with his popularity from his Boxing career giving him a boost of votes as he looks to become a Politician.

What the expert says...
Nigel Farage looking for big showing at the local elections in May
Nigel Farage and his Reform UK party are looking for a massive performance at the upcoming local elections with all seats across 14 county councils in England up for grabs.
It's thought that a strong showing by the Reform UK party at the upcoming elections would make many consider them as a big party in UK politics in the coming years.
We could see a case of Labour vs Reform at the next General Election if Farage continues to march on with his party with momentum with Reform currently.
