Manchester City just above rivals United in the race for Douglas Luiz according to bookies
Transfers are now happening thick and fast across Europe and the latest rumoured move sees Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz potentially moving to Manchester this month.
The Brazilian international has been linked with both Manchester City and Manchester United in recent weeks and bookmakers now put the two at the top of the betting market to sign Luiz.
City are just about favourites in the latest odds list offered by BetVictor with the bookmaker putting them at 4/5 to secure the transfer of Luiz in the current window.
United though are following just behind at 5/4 with Ruben Amorim looking to strengthen his side after calling them the "worst Manchester United team in history" after their 3-1 loss to Brighton last weekend.

Luiz linked with move away from Juventus in the current January window
Recent reports in Mail Sport say that Chelsea are the latest club to ask about Luiz but they don't feature in the latest market with a number of Premier League teams linked with the transfer.
Luiz was on the books at Manchester City between 2017 and 2019 with the club unable to register him due to work permit issues which then led them to sell him to Aston Villa.
Villa could re-sign the midfielder this window but bookmakers put them out at 14/1 to do so alongside Nottingham Forest, who are pushing for European football this season.
City still 1/5 to qualify for next stage of Champions League despite latest defeat
Further betting odds are offered around the Champions League following City's desperate defeat to PSG in the competition on Wednesday evening.
City were cruising at 2-0 up after an impressive start to the second half before being thumped 4-2 by the French side with Pep Guardiola's men falling apart again.
We've seen previously in the Champions League City lead 3-0 at home to Feyenoord before drawing 3-3 and another poor display saw them fail to hold onto a lead.
Luiz could be an important signing to strengthen their midfield going into the latter stages of the season and City are 1/5 to qualify for the play-off round of the Champions League still despite sitting out of the top 24.
