Cristiano Ronaldo is 2/1 to join Chelsea this Summer with a push expected for the player

Chelsea are 2/1 to sign Cristiano Ronaldo in the next transfer window with bookies giving him a 33% chance of moving to Stamford Bridge in January.

Ronaldo was linked with a move to Chelsea in the Summer with new owner Todd Boehly wanting the player at the club.

At the time though, manager Thomas Tuchel was against the move and this resulted in the club not signing the player.

Cristiano Ronaldo Next Club Odds Probability
Chelsea 2/1 33.3%
Sporting Lisbon 16/1 5.9%
Atletico Madrid 20/1 4.8%

Sporting Lisbon and Atletico Madrid both feature in the betting market as well with the two clubs previously being favourites to sign Ronaldo.

Bookies made Ronaldo odds on to sign for Sporting at one point in the Summer but the transfer never materialised.

Chelsea now have Graham Potter as manager after Thomas Tuchel was sacked

Graham Potter is now the new manager of Chelsea after he replaced Thomas Tuchel at the head of the club.

Potter was manager of Brighton and Todd Boehly decided to pay the reported £22m in compensation to prise him away from the Seagulls.

Boehly's persistence in signing Ronaldo may be rewarded with Potter perhaps having a different opinion towards signing the player than Tuchel did.

Ronaldo stayed at Man United and scored in the Europa League last week

Cristiano Ronaldo stayed at Manchester United despite wanting to leave the club, with no club agreeing to the financial terms that the player and club wanted.

Man United boss Erik Ten Hag has been starting Ronaldo in the Europa League rather than the Premier League so far this season.

Ronaldo scored in the club's last game against FK Sheriff but will likely remain not starting in the Premier League.

United are 5/1 to win the Europa League with Paddy Power keeping Arsenal as 9/2 favourites for the competition.

Man United are 5/1 to win the Europa League this season but Arsenal remain the 9/2 favourites for the competition.
