McIlroy Leads as Norris Lands F1 Title

Lando Norris may have clinched the F1 Drivers’ Championship on Sunday, but the bookmakers aren't reacting too strongly just yet.

The McLaren star is third favourite to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2025, with Rory McIlroy leading the way at 4/6 after a season of golfing dominance.

McIlroy is hunting his first SPOTY win despite being one of the biggest names in British sport for over a decade.

Meanwhile, England forward Chloe Kelly is priced at 3/1 after her stellar performances for both club and country.

William Hill's latest market gives a 60% chance of McIlroy winning the SPOTY crown.

What the expert says...
Lando Norris finally getting his first F1 title is a huge achievement, but punters seem reluctant to back him over McIlroy or Kelly just yet. That could shift closer to the ceremony.
