2024 Greyhound St Leger: Preview

The £20,000 St Leger will take place at Perry Barr in September with six first round heats over 710m.

Take note of any dogs from Ireland that are entered. Only three Irish dogs took part in 2023 and one finished second and one other won it's semi-final only to be withdrawn off colour before the Final

Droopys Clue was an outstanding St Leger winner in 2023, breaking the track record in the Final but no dog has ever retained the St Leger so take that into consideration if thinking of backing Droopys Clue to follow-up in 2024.

Bitches have won three of the last four runnings from a very small entry. The winners were : Havana Lover (2022), Space Jet (2021) and Smallmead (2020).

  • 2016 Ferryforth Fran
  • 2012 Blonde Reagan
