This looks like a wide open race and I fancy the chances of Sky Safari who has already won a few good quality races and with what looks like being a good inside draw should have a good chance.

AROLLA almost landed a listed last time out and I don't even think that was her preferred distance, this may well be even more suitable and she's given a look with extra places to go at.

Another Irish raider in the shape of the Jessie Harrington trained Serialise with the capable Shane Foley in the saddle. A good draw in 24 with the strong travelling Footstepsinthesand filly a prominent runner a big run is expected.

A consistent type for trainer Charlie Johnson and although a beaten favourite last time here at Ascot that run was much improved and can come from off the pace with Jamie Osbourne aboard.

I'm targeting the other race on the card with 6 places on offer with value again the order. This time I've sided with the Northern raider Julia Augusta from David O' Meara's yard. My selection will appreciate competing against her own sex after a very promising first start of the year at Epsom over 8.5f when 3rd of 10 (beaten by the boys). That was after a 205 day break so is entitled to strip fitter here and with the yard jock Danny Tudhope getting the leg up I'm quietly confident of a decent show. This is a handicap like the Epsom start, but last season had been competing in listed/group level class.

A wide open looking handicap going e/w on the in-form Andrew Balding runner Miss Information with Oisin Murphy on board if getting the luck in running could certainly be involved in the finish

Snellen won on his sole course visit on his 2nd career start. Good win strike rate with 5 wins from 17 runs and 3 places. Campaigned in Bahrain leading in to this and has to carry 2nd top weight. Trainer is no stranger to big festival wins on the flat and hurdles. High draw won't be an issue and has place chances at minimum

Francophone is a former Listed winner and although has been off the boil lately looks well handicapped and can go well down in trip here.

Going to have a very speculative punt on a small trainer in Gemma Tuttys Thelmas Angel?....shes booked the very good Rossa Ryan here and for some reason too me its short enough in the betting at around 22/1?..on all firms..would be a miracle if it won but someone seems to fear it at the moment..gl to the connections ..small ew

Changed my mind on my other tip for this race and have gone for this Irish raider. Seasonal debut over a mile was decent enough (7th/27) and won lto, again over todays 8f. This race is going to be tough, but like my ew tip, i feel this horse has improved and has chances. Ew for betting.

With bookmakers paying six places, I’ve been looking for something at juicy odds that could run into the frame. Rose Prick is another consistent filly for Ed Walker who has progressed steadily in handicaps and arrives here in decent form, coming off an excellent Listed third at Nottingham. That was only her second run of the season, so she should strip fitter for today. She went close over this course and distance last year before running well in defeat when travelling to France, and the return to this stiff mile could play to her strengths. Worth a small each??'way play at 22/1.

Ambiente Amigo is dropping back in distance here, having run at up to 14f last season and then hurdling in the NH season. Her last three runs were at 10f at Listed and Group 2 level. James Owen makes use of apprentice Elizabeth Gale, who was a lightweight NH jockey and has recently been in good form on the flat as well. Drawn low in stall 3, there is likely pace far side from Arolla, Arisaig, Kayhana, and Sky Safari.

Demonstrated the advantage of a comeback run by winning a 7 runner handicap at Leicester just 23 days ago. Although that race wasn't particularly challenging, it may not be the best indicator for success in a more competitive setting. Nethertheless, with both trainer and jockey performing exceptionally well, the 33/1 odds present a significant opportunity for profit with an each-way bet.

Upped to a mile here ROCKYMOUNTAINWAY could go well under a light weight. Never far away in fillies handicaps it is possible she may be seen to best effect up in trip.

Ciara Pearl has been running over further than this distance over the last few months, she did show speed in a few of those previous races so this drop back in distance, doesn't look like a bad move , she did show good form at this distance at the start of her career, has a chance on that form. Wears first time Cheekpieces today which may bring about some improvement form the horse.

The Richard Spencer trained Shallow is not from one of the 'sexy yards' but the 81 rated filly does have the best speed rating in the field and has 4 wims and 4 places from just 10 runs. Only 24 runners this time go to post for the Class 2 Fillies' And Mares' Handicap. Today's jockey Hollie Doyle has the script: she can press the button, bounce him out from stall 14 and lead all the way...simples !

A few i like in here and one was Sky Safari, but the price has already gone on that one, so my ew tip will be Viennoise. Won lto for first victory and looked a much better horse than previous runs, but that's David O'Meara for you. Up 5lb, but that's offset by 5lb claimer and although this is tougher, i believe she will run well.

Queen Of Atlantis was second in a C2 handicap back in Sept off an 82 and although pants on the return in listed company last month I think the return to handicaps today off an 83 could see her back in the money EW 6P
