Time Turner looks ready to strike after a massive effort last time out. He put in a career-best performance to finish a close second over 10.2f just 12 days ago. The way he finished that race suggests this step up in trip is exactly what he needs to get his head in front.

Saahir was expected to be better last time out at Kempton. Despite shortening in the market, he never looked likely to get in the frame. This trip should suit him better. I would expect him to be ridden more to the fore this time too.

Previous course winner who drops down in grade on a workable mark. Capable of winning if things fall right. Recent form isn't great, but he's capable of better. Mulrennan rides and he's certainly worth an each-way punt.

Bouboule is a gelding rated 60 who has already shown he can operate effectively off this mark. Notably, he finished second in a Newcastle all-weather handicap over this trip, where he travelled strongly and was only run down late, beaten just over a length. He also ran well in another similar Newcastle race when third, again shaping as though the track and distance suited, finishing within two lengths of the winner after being held up. Those efforts confirm he handles today’s conditions well and is capable of hitting the frame when delivered late off a steady pace. With his rating unchanged from those solid runs and conditions again playing to his strengths, there is a clear case for him to run to at least that level again and remain competitive.

Tracker issue stopped suddenly last time out, which meant he was unable to build on a positive-looking run the start before that. I'm prepared to forgive that showing, and he's considered if returning to the sort of form demonstrated in that display. Likely to be dropped just behind the pace-setters and could have the kick to finish from this mark.

Highest is rated just 60 and HOBGOBLIN has an opening mark of 59 after two normal-looking runs with Sir Mark Prescott over inadequate trips. Stepping up fully four and a half furlongs here (typical SMP tactic after gaining a mark). There's no way this would be this price if he was with his old trainer and thus it looks very generous. Change of stable and first-time headgear is interesting. This is a very average Class 6 with some fully exposed runners. He's actually down in class, having contested Class 3, 4, 5 on his first three career starts. I feel his chances have been seriously underestimated. Entitled needs the run on stable debut as it was his first run in ten weeks. He should strip fitter. Interesting.

Millbuie is zero from 19 but has shown glimpses of ability. Limited AW runs ??' just four in total ??' either over a mile (too short) or 2 miles (too long). He should find this 12f trip ideal. His best recent run on turf came over this trip on good ground, when he was a close fourth last summer. He has plenty to prove but returns from a layoff, having had a wind operation since his last run, and now might be the best time to side with him.
