There are some incredibly strong stats on breeding for this course. Indeed, this horse won on his only previous run here, which was an easy one from a horse now rated 86. Augustus Gloop races off 82 here, which is the same mark as when he was an unlucky-looking second last time out on seasonal debut. It should be all systems go now (I like the jockey switch too), and this 11/1 shot will surely be a single-figure price at the off.

Southwell novice winner with a likeable attitude and a strong 6f record. Yard targets this race. Lightly raced, bred to progress further. A big player if sharpening again after a short break.

A lot of winners and good runners are in this race, but the most outstanding one is Ten Carat Harry with four straight wins, including a recent track-and-trip win. Another great run awaits his return to this track and trip where the four straight wins started.

Going for the hat-trick here. Moved up in grade and was pushed up 4 lb. Needs to improve further but could do so and is an each-way play here.

With only four starts under his belt, GOLD QUEEN KINDLY is not as exposed as most in this race and is open to significant improvement after an 84-day break. This three-year-old won a maiden on debut but has failed to win in three starts since, going off favourite twice in that time. All four starts have come on turf, but he has shown versatility regarding the going. If he takes to the Tapeta, he could prove a threat off a mark of 88, having finished 2½ lengths behind the winner who ran off 3 lbs higher last time. Worth keeping onside.

Bassenthwaite is a 4-year-old gelding rated 58. His most recent run was on 8 January at Newcastle over 1m2f, where he finished 5th of 10, beaten 4 lengths after racing in midfield and keeping on without threatening. He stays this trip on the all-weather, and that run was in line with his recent form. His mark continues to ease, and in a race lacking depth he has scope to get more competitive if able to settle and find a bit more late on.

Gorey Gold arrives in cracking nick after that battling Southwell win and looks the type to follow up at this trip. Won by half a length just 15 days ago off a 3 lb lower mark, showing clear improvement and is a proper, consistent performer who's building a smart profile at this level. Effective across 6f to 7f and has a 100% strike rate on his sole all-weather start.

Rogue Supremacy, i thought was quite overpriced at 18/1. He is drawn nicely aswell, in stall 5. Rogue Superemacy's 2nd at Kempton two starts ago was quite eye catching, and if he got a gap and stayed in a straight line he would of won that race. That race was quite a good contest aswell, to say the least. The winner being rated 98 currently. He is carrying some weight in this field aswell, which maybe the danger, just like my other selection, Miltary Academy. Put the price is too big to ignore, with him showing what he can do on race track already.

Remi Mae was 3rd of 8 LTO under J P at Southwell. A few pounds wrong for this, but still may be good enough to make the frame, offering 4 places.
