The 4yo gelding was 3rd of 12 three weeks ago in a strong-looking £52K handicap. Same mark for this £23K contest. Just one previous run on soft ground, last summer, resulting in a win and a career-high RPR rating. More to come from the youngster.

Very good comeback effort at York latest over a trip which was too short. Should be much more at home here and be tough to beat.

A winner over further and a guaranteed stayer. Went second 3 furlongs out but no extra close to home over half a furlong further last time out. Remains on the same mark, will come on for that run following a 3 month absence and Rossa Ryan retaining the ride is a positive.

Decent effort when finishing fourth over hurdles at the recent Punchestown Festival. Two wins and two places on the Flat last summer. Looks a big price for each-way purposes, just two pounds above last winning mark on the level.

Only one win on the Flat in the last 5, but had a good season over hurdles. Must have each possibility here today in this field.

Group 3 Sagaro Stakes winner at Ascot (2m, GF) on first start last season but has failed to live up to anything like that standard. That success came in a first time tongue tie. That is retained again but blinkers are now added for the first time. Showed some promise in last race before weakening and well beaten so possibly will come on for that outing. Has never been a reliable sort but won a Group 3 in Ireland earlier in his career. A return to form is possible. Michael Bell trains.
