Very well bred colt trained by Roger Varian. The sire is Frankel and on the dam's side (by Selkirk) closely related to Benbatl and Elmalka. Very classy pedigree. Got the job done comfortably on maiden debut at Yarmouth in October last year. Well backed and sent off at 7-2 against some smart types in the Listed Fielden Stakes at Newmarket last month. Pulled quite hard and ran keen there. Only drops to a Class 2 novice stakes now but being at Hamilton this is a far easier ask than that race at Newmarket. Has to prove something but looks the likeliest winner.
