Finished 4th in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot. Is a previous course and distance winner. Trainer has won two of the last 5 runnings of this race. My NAP bet today

Because Adonius comes from a northern yard that hasn't had many horses good enough to run in this sort of race, he might be a slightly bigger price than he should be. He is unbeaten in three races, showing tremendous speed in each of them. I thought his second Musselburgh win was very good, given that he was conceding weight to all the others and beat them with plenty in hand. He then won the Lily Agnes at Chester, being in complete command throughout. If he can break well, he may well be able to control the race from the front again.

Won over this trip on racecourse debut at Ayr in May but disappointed in the Coventry Stakes over 6 furlongs at Royal Ascot last time out. Worth another look and should be suited by the drop back to this minimum trip.

El Floridita won a C4 maiden in May but in June followed up with a good G2 second in the Norfolk Stakes. He will be all the better for that run and gets my vote for this G3 with the same rider.

This looks an incredibly open renewal of the Molecomb and SALE SHARK should be able to put his best hoof forward now returning to 5f. I backed the son of Bayside Boy in a listed contest at Newbury earlier this month, but he failed to get a clear run and lacked the stamina towards the end to make up the ground. The 2yo showed plenty of speed when winning on debut over this trip at Hamilton plus with O Murphy booked and his 26% SR (A/E 1.28) when riding for H Palmer they must hold each way claims. 7/1 taken.
