5:30 Doncaster Tips

Landed the hat trick in good style despite an untidy passage early in the race. Gets better ground today and should be very hard to beat in search for a four timer.

Very heavily back already so must be having a go today. Won here in a Class 6 off 65 rather nicely a couple of runs back and run at Ffos Las off 68 was not bad and perhaps the softer ground would not have been ideal. Worth another chance today.

LUMINOUS WARRIOR is a fascinating contender on his handicap debut. He showed more last time out indicating he could be ready now and he comes from a shrewd yard. Up in trip for racing in this sphere with a positive jockey booking from a workable opening mark he appeals.

Paris Lights is in stall 7, running 12 days after finishing well over 10 at Ripon. His current handicap mark of 67 is workable but a bit on the tough side given his recent form to me. He has one win and several places at this class and distance. He shows consistent efforts but is often held up in his races, which might blunt his finishing kick. The step down in trip could help with pace. Trainer Paul Midgley and jockey Danny Nolan team up again, and the tactics could change today after last time, so a place chance is doable.

Wandered around a furlong out but kept on well to win over this trip at Redcar last time out. The first time cheekpieces will help and could offer further scope to improve.

The current favourite probably runs well (Horse number 5) but does look beatable. Onslow Gardens hasn't won yet after 14 starts so definitely needs improvement but, that was a better run at Chepstow last time , possibly on the way into some better form now and this track should suit.

Hasn't shown much in three starts but can be expected to do better now handicapping. Gets weight for age allowance and starts out on a fair mark. Trainer has a 20% success rate with first-time handicaps.
