Goes off same mark here, step back up to a mile a plus, has form @ higher level, under used jockey retains ride and very good trainer best here with his 4yo plus @ 25 percent last 5 seasons, making current 10/1 solid Ew value in the race.

Race 6 at Carlisle today is a Handicap (Class 4) for 3-year-olds and upwards over 1,566 m. The suggested wager is for the each way on the 5-year-old gelding Look Back Smiling from the Gemma Tutty yard. It will be ridden by Connor Beasley. This son of Fast Company is a five-time winner, is distance suited, and will have no problem with the going. It has as good a chance as any in this wide-open looking race today.

Won his last three starts off a busy three year old campaign and made a promising return to action at Musselburgh in April over an extended 7f. Did well to finish a close up 3rd having had anything but the smoothest of passages during the race. Not in the same form back there just 6 days later but wasn’t suited by the way the race was run, having been slowly away. Can hopefully get back on track here racing off the same mark over a slightly longer trip.

He has won five times over today's mile and twice on good to soft ground and won't mind any further rain, having won on soft at Ripon on his last win off 82 and runs today off 81. So, he also looks handily weighted for a trainer who has found his mojo with 9/20 wins in recent weeks. He makes his third track appearance today after a 289-day break, and his last two wins have come on the third start after a 62-153 day break. So, Hiromichi may be coming to hand, and at 25-1 under Clifford Lee, this grand old gelding is of interest.

What has happened to Navagio? The James Horton-trained 6yo Footstepsinthesand gelding was 3rd in the C2 Lincoln Handicap off a mark of 96 at Donny on soft ground in March last year. That was his last bit of form, and he has been out of form since. It takes a leap of faith to back him today. However, if he can recapture some of his old form in this Cl4 handicap off a reduced mark of 82 and on his favourite ground, he might nick one of the 5 places. He is a hold-up merchant and, in my opinion, has a decent draw in 17, with the main pace likely to come from 16 and 10.

Urban Sprawl has been consistent of late and gets a apprentice up today in Archie Young who negates 5lb here..the form from its last runs bodes well has that has been franked..extra places here too so looks a player ew

It's an open looking race, wouldn't be a surprise to see horses at big odds running well. This selection has some good form in the book in some good races, if he can get back to that level he'll be running well. Looks fairly well treated, small each-way tip.

Redarna might be getting on a bit but did win in a C4 before the break in October off today's mark. Returned for a couple of runs in C2 and C3 last month and is another that the return to C4 might see a revival. EW 5P.
