The fact that this horse is so high in the betting forecast shows what an awful race quality-wise it really is. Think all-weather transferred to turf in the two races it has had for the stable since transfer from Michael Dods. It has shown a modicum of form and it is well treated. Three tuft runs for the 4yo this year. Excuses last time out and better judged on his previous run, which came over this 12f C/D. He was a good 2nd of 11 that day - good RPR rating - the 1st and 3rd both seemed capable types. A repeat of that form would put him firmly in the mix in this weak looking handicap.

Forest Haze definitely needs improvement, has a bit too find on ratings so this is just a small each-way tip but, she's less exposed than most of these on this surface, has time for improvement on this surface and the first time Cheekpieces today may well help. Not a bad effort when finishing 5th over this distance when finishing 5th at Leicester last time out when ridden by an Apprentice jockey, now gets a more experienced jockey in the saddle so may do a bit better today.
