Clone Cross has taken some time to get acclimatised to hurdles outings, but both of the best performances have come inside the last three outings, showing very encouraging signs. Firstly, he was 2nd at Wexford in May over 2m4f when going off at what in hindsight looks a disrespectful and inaccurate 100/1. Most recently, over the same 2m4½f distance as today, he was 3rd at Bellewstown earlier this month as a 12/1 shot.

Has posted a couple of decent efforts in his last two starts here over a shorter trip than today's, the latest when making his handicap debut off a mark of 94. On each occasion he's shaped as though a longer trip was needed and gets that here so has to be of interest.

Uptaurintop returns to hurdling after making too many mistakes over fences last time and he has every chance off his current mark of 82.

Lord De Choisel looks to be a good shout and to me is more appealing than a lot of the others here. He was green and made mistakes last time, but he is switched into handicaps now and has a tongue-tie added for the first time. Pedigree-wise, there's a decent staying angle here as he's by Great Pretender out of a Sageburg mare, so he should be suited by this distance.

Ten runs since a win in 2024 but that was off a mark of 108 has run quite well on both previous trips to this track and with a current mark of only 91 should go well.

Race may have come too soon when well beaten in a handicap hurdle here latest ,in fair form previously ,but is returning from a long 284 days break claime r of 4 lbs should help if ready to go Each way NAP

With a class drop and Harry Sexton's 4lb allowance in his favour, he could very well place at 25/1, making the most if a highly competitive handicap rating.
