Zaraahmando has a lot of recent placed efforts including 5 days ago at Gowran Park when a close 3rd place ridden and trained by Andrew Slattery.

Last win came at the Curragh 22 months ago. Has been running well this season , having been placed on 4 of his 5 starts. Is 10 lbs below last winning mark and was only narrowly beaten in a competitive handicap at Gowran last Saturday.

Tachos looks an interesting contender in the 5.05 at Galway. He has shown steady improvement with racing, and today's stiff track could play to his strengths. If he settles well and gets a clear run at the leaders, he has the ability to finish strongly and can take another step forward with a winning performance.

This veteran is one of the outsiders in this field but has recently returned to form with three second places in a row. Reese Holohan takes off a useful seven pounds which could bring him into things.

Top-weight Pink Oxalis has won 4 of her 27 starts and looks interesting here based on her last run when runner-up at the Curragh 11 days ago. Her last win came at Leopardstown on September 25 off 85. She had been placed at Gowran Park in April off 90 before being beaten by 1.25 lengths at the Curragh off 88. She is back up 2 lbs here but looks like a good each-way bet with 5 places on offer.
