Who doesn't love a 54 runner barnburner at @theCurragh these calvery charges never get any easier especially on this quicker Spring/Summer going but I'll side with Henry De Bromhead's only runner here today in the shape of his 7 year old Gelding BARBAPAPA, This Son of STARSPANGLEDBANNER has some decent Flat form in some deep races for us to cling too with a 3rd here last year over this trip off a mark of 82 this was then followed up with a 3rd @Cork (7f) in deep waters & looked bang there before fading in that final furlong & was then sent over to the all weather. This lad arrives back here on the turf essentially 7lbs lower thanks to Jockey Conor Cusack's weight allowance & is drawn well in stall #22 aswell as running fresh. At double figure odds I can't leave this on your shelf now returning back to the turf.

Stall 5 not ideal but Bishopton still makes appeal at 16-1 or bigger. This 4yo by Invincible Spirit has looked progressive in winning three times over seven furlongs within the last year. Scored from a mark of OR84 at Dundalk when last seen so this OR87 back on turf may be within the 4yo's remit. Wayne Lordan booked for strongly respected Natalia Lupini yard. Drops to six furlongs but first time cheekpieces are applied. Could be up to this.

Gone off favourite a fair view times of late and just hasn't produced the goods, but connections must think that this horse has some degree of talent. With 6 places, looks a good bet.

Exceptional each-way value at 18/1 for this established C&D champion who thrives on the Curragh's straight. Now fitter following his seasonal debut, he will benefit from cheekpieces and a 5 lb jockey allowance on the perfect yielding ground.

Tinas Indian had little chance at the weights on seasonal debut, he was lowest rated but carried the highest weight. Lightly raced but has shown enough that could see him run well in this highly competitive handicap.
