Nicolai Hojgaard has 3 wins on the DP World Tour. Some strong efforts on the PGA Tour this year, which include 8th place in Mexico and 2nd place last week at the Zurich Classic where he played with his brother. I will take him with a nice price.

Scottie Scheffler has not been in top form, but he is still playing well enough to get the win here. Of the players taking part in the tournament, he has the best average score of 69.493.

The market leader looks too short here, but Jordan Spieth looks like a better bet as he is fully fit after an injury. He is in really good form, and he knows this course well and has a great record here.

A good tournament for Byeong Hun An to finally get his first PGA victory. Very good player that won on the European Tour in October, but is still looking for his first American win. 4th & 14th in two appearances at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson in the past.

Kim made his first top ten finish last week. It looks as though he has made some adjustments and has his game in control.

Another player towards the top of the market that I like the look of is Sam Burns, who has won a couple of times in Texas. With a top 15 finish at Harbour Town recently and being a top-quality putter, he should go well.
EW @
Si Woo Kim has got strong form in this and is coming off a decent finish last time also. He has finished tied for second and tied 13th the last two. He was tied for 8th at RBC Heritage last time and might give us a big run this week.

Pendrith is the defending champion, and this course is set up perfectly for his distance game, particularly as the course has been lengthened this year.

Always there or thereabouts, and in Ben, you have a golfer who tries all the time. He hits the ball so well and straight, and his putting is back to where he wants it. Ben can be backed this week after playing well last week.

At a decent price, I can see some good value here with Mackenzie Hughes as he is in good form with two top 10 finishes at both Harbour Town and Houston. On that form, he could go close here too.
EW @
A much improved golfer on American soil, Stephan Jaeger gets the vote to finish top six in Texas this week. The German was a journeyman golfer after joining the tour in 2012, but a fantastic win at the Texas Children's Houston Open in 2024 gave him newfound confidence! He has a good opportunity to go close back in Texas this week!
EW @
Rasmus and his brother were a very strong pairing last week and finished runners-up in that tournament. Rasmus played well there and can bring that forward this week.

Jake finished eighth on his debut at the course twelve months ago, leading after thirty-six holes. He went close with his partner at the Zurich Classic last week, finishing in third place. This big hitter looks a knap bet this week.

Ryan Gerard played his best golf in the last four tournaments. 9, 2, T27, T12 finishes from him. He was close to winning the Texas Open, just couldn't make the final push to catch Harman. I will play him at such good odds here.

Bridgeman, a 25-year-old PGA Tour rookie, has shown promise with two top-10 finishes in his last four starts. He ranks 5th in strokes gained: putting (0.749), 12th in putts per round (27.78), 16th in scoring average (69.78), and 19th in strokes gained: total (0.922), making him a strong fit for TPC Craig Ranch’s birdie-friendly layout. His lack of a PGA Tour win is a concern, but he could outrun his odds. Also, TPC Craig Ranch rewards aggressive play and could align with Bridgeman’s strengths.
EW @
Ryo has a T13 finish at TPC Craig Ranch in 2023, won the 2023 Cazoo Open de France on the DP World Tour, proving he can handle pressure. Asian players have performed well at this venue, with three in the top nine last year. His course history piques my interest. It's speculative, but aren't they all at this level?
EW @
Riley has heated up recently, with top-10 finishes at the Valspar Championship and Puerto Rico Open, plus a T21 at the Masters, where he ranked 8th in strokes gained: approach. He finished T9 at TPC Craig Ranch in 2022, showing course affinity. His amateur pedigree (U.S. Junior Amateur finalist) and prior Texas wins (2024 Charles Schwab Challenge, 2020 TPC San Antonio) bolster his case. His iron play and Texas track record make him a lively longshot imo.

Course that requires similar skills to Mexico Open, where Salinda finished 3rd this year. Also, he had good finishes lately at Houston Open, T11, and at Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T8.
EW @
Alex Smalley finished T13 in this last year and he could build on that this week. His form has been indifferent this season with a number of missed cuts but he did the same last season and still played well in this event. He's still an up and coming golfer and there's a lot more to come with him.

Tosti has a T5 finish at the Houston Open and a T2 finish at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the last month. T10 at the Mexico Open. Those courses require similar skills to this one, so expect a good week for Tosti.

Jesper Svensson is not in the best form, but he should enjoy the course. His best skill is distance, so he will have an advantage over most here. 3 pro wins on his record, including the DP World Tour last year.

Sami Valimaki was 4th at the Houston Open, T12 at the Valero Texas Open, and T18 at the RBC Heritage. A 2-time winner on the DP World Tour, Valimaki is definitely better than the odds suggest. Form is great.

Tied 13th two weeks ago at the RBC Heritage and rounds of 66 and 67 moved him into contention heading into Sunday at Harbour Town Golf Links. Tied 5th at Pebble Beach earlier this year and the Australian did win the Rocket Mortgage Classic last season on the PGA Tour. As we know the Australians tend to do well in Texas and I fancy Cam Davis puts four solid rounds together to play his way into contention this week.
EW @
Nico Echavarria has one win and two runner-up finishes since October. The odds on him this week are unbelievable. He finished T24 last year at Byron Nelson, and definitely can do better after his year of improvements on PGA Tour.

Karl Vilips already won on the PGA Tour in his first year. It was in his third appearance at the Puerto Rico Open. Last week, he was T4 at the Zurich Classic. I feel he is a good pick at huge odds.
EW @
Despite only finishing 11th and more recently 9th in his last two tournaments, Tway has smashed in eighteen under on both occasions. He hit an eight under towards the end of the 2023 edition, which included three bogey-free rounds. Last year's worst score was still a two under.

Taylor Dixon is a long, long, long shot, but I feel he might place with his best performance. T4 finish at the Zurich Classic last week. He won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour last year.
EW @
Mistakes edged him out last year in making the cut, despite hitting a two-under first round. Prior to that, Palmer finished 8th the year prior and was joint leader on day two on thirteen under. He was 5th back in 2022 when just three shots off the leader, finishing on twenty-three under.

Jake Knapp played 64, 64 in the first two rounds at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson last year. 3rd at Zurich Classic last week, he is in fine form to have a good Byron Nelson again.

Mackenzie Hughes is on back to back top 10 finishes, having four 66 rounds in those two tournaments. At Byron Nelson he has three rounds of 64 in the last two years. I will play him for first round leader.

Jaeger has had opening rounds of 66 and 67 on the last two years here. Already this year he has been co-leader on a first round leaderboard once, and within two strokes of the lead on two other occasions.
EW @
Alex Smalley shot a 6 under par first round of 65 in this event last year. There's every reason to expect the American to put up another good early showing here, as the course really fitted his eye.

Ryo Hisatsune was one of the players that had a 64 round last year at Byron Nelson. This is a number that can be enough for the first round leader. His attune is playing good golf in the last months, so he might start very good here.

Last year's first round leader at Byron Nelson. Matt Wallace started with 63 here last season and finished T4. I will play him at such good odds.

Riley has decent course form, averaging 67.6 for his ten rounds here. Returns on a streak of six made cuts, including two top-seven places and a T21 at the Masters, so has appeal at a big price.

Sami Valimaki had some good tournaments lately. The highlight was 4th place at the Houston Open, where he also played the best round of the tournament, 62 in round 4.

I like David Lipsky at 200/1. Last year he missed the cut, but the first round was good, 66. In 2022 he finished T25 at this tournament with two 66 rounds. After T4 finishes at the Zurich Classic last week, he is very interesting for the first round leader at such big odds.
