It is tough to win consecutive events on the Tour, but the KLM winner has had a couple of weeks to come back down to earth and could be ready to go again. Is on a streak of eight made cuts, six of T18 or better, and nothing worse than T33.

The course hasn't been used for the Italian Open for twelve years, so there is no prior form. It could see a surprise winner, and Ricardo could fit the bill. He arrives in good form. His last five events have included a T2, a T7, and nothing worse than T38.

The Spaniard has been going off at much shorter prices in previous events. Ayora is coming off his best result of the season, a T3 at the KLM Open. He has played well in Italy on the Tour and the Challenge Tour in prior seasons, including a T7 at the Italian Open last year.

Playing at his home course, the former Open and two-time Open d'Italia winner is worthy of consideration. He has had a light campaign this year but posted a T4 at the Dubai Desert Classic and a T6 at the Indian Open.

A horse for the course. In his last nine visits, Harman has had seven finishes inside the top ten without winning. This could be the week. He has missed just one cut in his last twelve events.

It is a long time between drinks for Cantlay backers, but a repeat of previous course form could see him in contention. In the last eight Travelers Championships, Cantlay has placed no worse than T15. His average for the last twenty-four rounds is 66.8.

A punt on Alex to be top Brit. Has been playing well on the PGA Tour, a T23 at the U.S. Open and a fine effort last week. Add in two other top-six places and a pairs victory.

Ryan is of interest at a big price. Finished T17 on his debut at the course last season. Went close in the Canadian Open a couple of weeks ago, tying for eighth place. Decent effort in tough conditions at the U.S. Open, T23.

Poston has had a good fortnight. He won the Memorial and shared fourth at the U.S. Open. He was runner-up in the Travelers four years back and could challenge again in his current rich vein of form.

The Aussie returns as defending champion after his four-stroke victory last season. He had a T3 at the Senior PGA Championship two months ago. A repeat performance could see a good defence of the title.

Jason was runner-up here last season. A bet on a player in good form to be in the shake-up again. Placed T12 at the Senior PGA in April, and his last two events have seen a T6 at the Trophee Hassan II and a T10 at the Family Insurance Championship.
