Irish Challenge Tips

Last two efforts in this tournament have been solid attempts. He finished 2nd back in 2023 and shot an eight-under, bogey-free final round, which was the best in the tournament that year. He came back last year to take 5th.

Missed this tournament last year, but the Scot did finish 4th here twice on the bounce in the previous two years. Lumsden took 15th in the Scottish Championship last week as good preparation.

Liam Nolan is a home hope here this week and now more than most know what to expect, having battled in tough conditions to a T19 finish here last year. He arrives in better form than his results suggest, with five of his last eight rounds under par. His game looks at a solid base level to go again this week for another tough test.

Javier Barcos Garbayo went close last time out when finishing T3 at the Scottish Challenge in a not too dissimilar setup to what he will be facing this week. Rounds of 70, 68, 64 and 67 led to that T3 finish in a very well-rounded and confidence-building week. I like him to ride the momentum into this week and challenge yet again.
