Top 20 last week at the Wyndham Championship, and I fancy Hideki Matsuyama is close to a big week. The Japanese star is the defending champion at the FedEx St Jude Championship and was runner-up in 2021. I am siding with him going close at TPC Southwind.

The American has finished 26th or better in each of his visits to TPC Southwind, and I fancy he will put a good week together at this week's FedEx St Jude Championship. 5th in 2022, Collin Morikawa has been close to a big week for a couple of months now, and I am backing this as an ideal setup for the major winner to start the playoff series strong.

Runner-up on debut three years ago at the FedEx St Jude Championship, and I fancy the Austrian can go a long way to securing a Ryder Cup spot with a big week at TPC Southwind. The European won the Truist Championship earlier this year, and I am siding with Sepp Straka challenging this week in the first playoff event.

11th at the Scottish Open, 4th at The Open Championship, and 12th last time out at the 3M Open. I fancy the American isn't too far away from a big week, and I can see him having a run in these FedEx Play Off series. 7th twelve months ago, and I am siding with Wyndham Clark having another good week around TPC Southwind.

The Canadian is chasing a hat trick of Boeing Classic titles on the Champions Tour circuit, and I fancy he won't be too far away this week. The last two years, Stephen Ames has won around The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, and I am siding with the defending champion going really close on a course he clearly loves playing.

The American may have been 31st in the Senior Open Championship but closed with a good round on Sunday. 9th at the US Senior Open and 6th at the Kaulig Companies Championship, I fancy Tim Petrovic could fly under the radar this week to challenge at the Boeing Classic.
