The American won the US Open at Shinnecock Hills and similar to Chris Gotterup last year he heads to The Open Championship in red hot form with two wins. Wyndham Clark is a two time major champion now and I fancy he won't be too far away at Royal Birkdale this week.

Three Top 7 finishes in his last five appearances in The Open Championship and I fancy Jon Rahm has the imagination to win a Claret Jug. Second and third since 2021, I am siding with the major winning spaniard going close at Royal Birkdale this week.

The two time major champion also has a Players Championship win along with a couple of WGC titles and I have felt Justin Thomas has a Claret Jug in him. The American has won the Sentry Tournament of Champions and Sony Open in Hawaii and his wind play extends to further wins at the RBC Heritage and Honda Classic. 11th at Portrush in 2019 and with finishes of 31st and 34th the last two years at The Open, I fancy JT puts four rounds together for a big week around Birkdale.

18th in both The Masters and PGA Championship, the American was 32nd in the US Open at Shinnecock Hills and he has become a solid performer in the big events. Maverick McNealy has made eleven straight cuts since March and seven of them were Top 30 finishes. He has won the RSM Classic at Sea Island and has multiple Top 5 finishes at Harbour Town Golf Links in the RBC Heritage. Two Top 5 finishes at Pebble Beach including being runner up in 2021, I fancy McNealy could quietly go about his business this week at Royal Birkdale to play his way into contention.
