I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Betting experts slash odds on UK snow in November to 1/3
  • GFS weather model shows snowfall likely from November 9 onwards, starting in Scotland.
  • Aberdeen and Edinburgh top the betting to be first to see snow, ahead of Newcastle and Manchester.

As freezing temperatures loom, betting experts now make snow in November a strong favourite with odds of just 1/3 that the UK will see its first snowfall of the season in the coming days.

This comes ahead of a forecasted six-day cold snap beginning around November 9, with the GFS weather model suggesting significant snowfall across northern and central regions.

Scotland is set to be hit first, with Aberdeen (1/3) and Edinburgh (1/2) clear favourites to see snow on the ground before anywhere else.

But the wintery conditions may not stop there with snow potentially pushing as far south as London (7/1) and Brighton (10/1).

Where Will Snow Fall First?

Scotland is again the frontrunner to see the UK’s first snow of the season, particularly in Aberdeen, which tops the betting at 1/3.

The Grampian Mountains and Cairngorms are likely to be the first snow-hit areas, but forecasters also see potential for snow settling in lowland areas due to the unusually sharp temperature drop.

Snow Watch: Regional Highlights

  • Scotland: High confidence of snowfall from Nov 9–13. Areas north of the Central Belt most exposed.
  • Northern England: Newcastle and Middlesbrough could see flurries if temperatures stay low into mid-month.
  • Midlands & South: Betting odds are increasingly open to snow reaching London and Birmingham.

What Are the Experts Saying?

What the expert says...
When the models show a cold snap like this, markets react fast and the 1/3 price on November snow reflects growing confidence of snowfall. With Scotland looking increasingly likely to see some snow, the big odds lie in southern cities sneaking into the mix.
