Gareth Southgate now 6/4 to appear on Monday Night Football this season with specials now offered

After leaving the England manager's role following Euro 2024, betting specials are now offered on what Gareth Southgate will do in the next stage of his career.

Favourite in the market sees him at 6/4 to appear alongside Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville on Monday Night Football at some point in the upcoming season with a return to punditry potentially on the cards.

Ian Wright confirmed towards the end of last season that he was leaving Match of the Day and Southgate is 2/1 to be his replacement on the iconic Gary Lineker presented show.

Southgate could stay in football though with a new management role and he has been linked with the Manchester United job during his final months as England boss.

What the expert says...
Gareth Southgate is fresh from leaving his role as England manager and he may well head to Sky as a pundit for the next step in his career with the latest odds suggesting a 40% chance that he does so!

Reality TV appearances on I'm A Celebrity or Strictly Come Dancing could also be on the cards

Southgate may decide to step back from football altogether for the next part of his career with odds on a Reality TV appearance also included in the specials.

The former England manager and player could try and transfer his footwork on the football pitch to a spell on the Strictly ballroom in the upcoming series.

The recent controversy surrounding Strictly Come Dancing may well mean that the BBC bosses try and get some big names to boost the ratings up and there wouldn't be many bigger than the former England manager.

Same probability chances are given for Southgate to head into the I'm A Celeb jungle which could have a stronger chance with a supposedly bigger budget for ITV's flagship show.

Eddie Howe now favourite with bookies to be the next England manager

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is the new favourite with Paddy Power to be the next England manager with bookies now shortening his odds into 2/1 to replace Southgate.

Howe has long been linked with the England role as one of the biggest English managers that is currently active in a job and his odds have now been cut into favourite.

Graham Potter was the favourite when the market was first released after Southgate's departure but he's since drifted slightly to the second favourite.
