Weather betting specials are getting more and more common as the global warming crisis continues and UK Betting Sites are now offering odds on the UK seeing the hottest day recorded at some point this month.

The latest odds are at 10/1 for the hottest July weather temperature to be broken, just 12 months on from the record originally being set at 40.3C around this time last year.

Europe is seeing potential record-breaking heatwaves take place in the coming days according to a recent report from the BBC, which states that temperatures are expected to surpass 40C in parts of Spain, France, Greece, Croatia and Turkey this month.

William Hill's latest odds give an implied probability of around 9% that the UK will see similar temperatures happen and the 40.3C figure surpassed this month.

The recent heatwaves across southern Europe have seen bookmakers start to offer odds on the UK seeing record temperatures at some point this month. The current record temperature in the UK took place in July last year with 40.3C hit in Lincolnshire and it's 10/1 for us to see it broken this July!

The record temperature in the UK is currently 40.3C which was set in Coningsby, Lincolnshire on the 19th July 2022 in the middle of a massive heatwave.

Wales and Scotland's highest recorded temperatures were also recorded around this time on the 18th and 19th July 2022 respectively.
