John Heitinga is now the 5/2 favourite to take over as West Brom manager

Betting odds continue to be offered on the next West Brom manager with John Heitinga now moving into clear favourite at 5/2 with bookmakers to get the role.

Heitinga is currently assistant first-team coach at Liverpool under the Arne Slot regime after previously being in the same role under David Moyes at West Ham.

Liverpool have been the best team in English football this season and Heitinga's work on the training ground may well see West Brom tempted with having him as their manager next.

BetVictor's latest betting market has moved Heitinga into 5/2 favourite for the job with Luke Williams now drifting slightly out to 3/1 behind the Dutchman in the odds list.

Those odds give an implied probability of 28.6% that Heitinga becomes the next Baggies manager with the board looking to make a big decision in the coming days.

Carlos Corberan left West Brom for Valencia on Christmas Eve

Carlos Corberan made a shock departure from West Brom last week after La Liga club Valencia met his release clause to take him as their new manager.

Corberan's statement on social media addressed the Baggies fans saying, "In my more than two years here I have only felt LOVE from this community and the decision to leave has been the hardest of my life".

The Spanish manager took charge at The Hawthorns in October 2022 and took them to the play-offs last season before guiding them to play-off contention this campaign so far.
