Nicholas Hoult remains the 3/1 favourite to be the next Superman according to bookmakers
Betting is still available for who the next Superman will be and it's British actor Nicholas Hoult who remains the bookies favourite to take over from Henry Cavill in the role.
Hoult is known for X-Men and especially Skins in the UK and the odds suggest he has a 25% chance of becoming the next Superman with DC looking for a new leading actor in the role.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson rivals former Superman Henry Cavill in the James Bond market and he features in the betting here too at 10/1 to be the next Superman.
Next Superman Actor | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Nicholas Hoult | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Austin Butler | 4/1 | 20.0% |
Michael B. Jordan | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Armie Hammer | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Aaron Taylor-Johnson | 10/1 | 9.1% |
It was rumoured that DC would cast their first black Superman when Cavill was first dropped from the role and this made Michael B. Jordan the early favourite in the betting market but he's since drifted out to 6/1.
British actor Nicholas Hoult remains the 3/1 favourite to be the next Superman with the role still up for grabs!

Logan Lerman was rumoured to be the next Superman this week but doesn't even feature in market
James Gunn is writing and directing Superman: Legacy, which will be the first feature film released in the new DC Universe with a new Superman.
This week Gunn shot down Twitter rumours that suggested Gunn is "very close" to announcing the actor to play Superman with Logan Lerman the top choice for casting.
Variety reported that Gunn said this was not true and he hasn't had a single talk with a single actor about the role, with auditions still being prepped with material.
Former Superman Henry Cavill is second favourite to be next James Bond
Henry Cavill remains second favourite with bookmakers to be the next James Bond after he left the role as Superman towards the back end of last year.
The British actor has been linked with the James Bond role previously and the stars may well have aligned for him to slot into the 007 position.
William Hill keep him second favourite just behind Aaron Taylor-Johnson who is favourite following reported screen tests for 007.
Next James Bond | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Aaron Taylor-Johnson | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Henry Cavill | 3/1 | 25.0% |
James Norton | 4/1 | 20.0% |
Tom Hardy | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Regé-Jean Page | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Idris Elba | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains favourite for the Next Bond with Henry Cavill second favourite in the market! Cavill will be looking for his next big role following his departure from Superman.
