Brendan Rodgers is favourite out of the managers to leave their post
It's been a tricky few weeks for Brendan Rodgers and his Leicester side and the 4-1 loss to Championship side Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup heaped more pressure on him.
Bookmakers give 9/2 odds that Rodgers is dismissed before the end of the season despite his side winning the FA Cup last year.
Next Premier League manager to leave post | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
No manager to leave | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Brendan Rodgers | 9/2 | 18.2% |
Sean Dyche | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Roy Hodgson | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Antonio Conte | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Roy Hodgson is 10/1 in the market to be sacked before the season ends, with Watford known for dismissing managers quickly.
Hodgson only took over at the Hornets last month but it only seems to take a big dip of form at Watford for the owners to start to think about sacking the manager.
7/2 that no manager leaves for the rest of the season
With only 14 games left before the end of the season, bookies are giving 7/2 that no manager leaves in the Premier League now.
With the 2021/22 campaign being so far gone, it may be difficult for clubs to get rid of their manager now.
The transfer window is closed and any new manager that would come into a club now would have a tricky task on their hands.
Last season though, Tottenham showed that it's never too late to do so sacking Jose Mourinho in April.
This didn't do anything in their season though and just a week later they lost in the League Cup Final to Manchester City.
Antonio Conte now 14/1 to leave Tottenham post
Speaking of Spurs, Antonio Conte hasn't exactly had the greatest start since taking over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Losing to Chelsea in the League Cup semi-final and dropped points in the Premier League has seen the slightest bit of pressure put on Conte.
The loss to Southampton in the latest midweek round of fixtures was a big chance missed to put pressure on in the Top 4 race and this is vital for Spurs' progression going forward.
Conte is known to be the type of manager that will throw the toys out of the pram if he doesn't get what he wants and January's transfer window may have made that even more the case.
