I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Michael Flynn sacked after Cheltenham’s 3-0 home defeat to Oldham left them bottom of League Two.
  • Steve Cotterill odds-on (1/2 with BetVictor) to make a return as Robins boss.
  • Jon Brady (3/1) and Adam Hinshelwood (6/1) also feature in the betting.

Flynn Dismissed After Poor Start

Cheltenham Town have parted company with manager Michael Flynn after a 3-0 home defeat to Oldham Athletic condemned them to the bottom of League Two.

It was the club’s ninth defeat in 12 matches across all competitions, with just one league victory all season.

Flynn himself admitted post-match that “performances like that get you the sack,” in what proved to be his final interview in charge.

Flynn had been appointed in May 2024 and guided the Robins to 15th last season, but a dismal start to 2025/26 left the club with little choice.

Now UK Betting Sites give odds on who will be the next man in charge of Cheltenham with a familiar face topping the betting odds.

Cotterill Favourite for Return

Former Cheltenham boss Steve Cotterill has been installed as the clear front-runner to return to the Robins dugout.

Cotterill previously enjoyed success with the club and his familiarity with both Cheltenham and lower-league management makes him a natural candidate.

Jon Brady, former Northampton Town manager, is second favourite at 3/1, while Adam Hinshelwood, who continues to attract interest from the Football League, is at 6/1.

Outsiders include Matt Taylor and Steve Evans, both 12/1.

What the expert says...
Steve Cotterill at 1/2 is a strong favourite for good reason as he knows Cheltenham inside out. Jon Brady at 3/1 is an intriguing option, but the market suggests a Cotterill return is highly likely
