Salah's Liverpool Future in Doubt After Explosive Interview

Mohamed Salah has thrown his Liverpool future into doubt after launching a scathing post-match attack on his club and manager, Arne Slot.

The Egyptian forward said he feels like he’s been “thrown under the bus” by the club, following a run of three games on the bench and being left out of the squad entirely for Tuesday night’s 1-0 win over Inter in Milan.

Salah, who has scored 250 goals in 420 games for the Reds, didn’t hold back in his comments and even admitted he’s unsure about his future despite signing a new deal in April.

Now, with AFCON duties calling from December 15, bookmakers have slashed odds on a January transfer as clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia circle.

Bet365's latest betting market sees four Saudi teams in the running to sign Salah in January.

Despite being odds-on to stay at Anfield, Al Hilal have now emerged as the clear destination in the market, with odds of 7/2 to sign Salah when the January window opens.

Saudi Pro League clubs have long been linked with a move and tensions at Liverpool may finally push him toward a lucrative offer.

What’s Next for Salah?

Salah will soon leave for the Africa Cup of Nations, where he’ll captain Egypt once again.

With his comments overshadowing Liverpool’s performances, AFCON may offer the forward a fresh headspace, but it could also act as a curtain call for his Anfield career.

A Saudi switch would align with previous interest, especially after Al Ittihad reportedly had a £150m bid rejected previously.

Now, with tension clear and public, Liverpool may not stand in his way again.

What the expert says...
This is the first time Salah has publicly hinted at the breakdown of his Liverpool relationship and the timing is no coincidence. A January exit feels far more realistic than ever before, especially with Saudi clubs circling again.
