Laila Cunningham Installed as Early Favourite in 2028 London Mayoral Election Betting

Bookmakers have already opened betting markets on the 2028 London Mayoral Election despite the vote still being two years away, with Reform UK candidate Laila Cunningham currently leading the market with UK Betting Sites.

The 2028 London mayoral election is scheduled to take place on 4 May 2028 alongside London Assembly elections and local elections across England.

Incumbent Labour mayor Sadiq Khan, who has won the previous three mayoral elections, is once again among the frontrunners in the early betting with Ladbrokes, although current odds suggest punters believe there could be a genuine challenge next time around.

On 7 January 2026, Cunningham was officially announced as Reform UK’s candidate for the election and has already attracted significant betting attention following several high-profile policy pledges.
