Storm Bram Lashes the UK

Storm Bram has gripped Britain this week with heavy rain and gale-force winds, forcing the Met Office to issue Amber weather warnings across parts of the country.

While Bram continues to bring disruption, it’s also raised the question on many festive minds, could this be setting up a White Christmas?

Ladbrokes has updated its market on snow falling on Christmas Day 2025 and Edinburgh is once again the frontrunner at 5/4, followed by Newcastle at 2/1.

The market is settled based on snowfall observed at airports across the UK on December 25th with bookmakers continuing to offer odds as the months go on.

Snow on Christmas Day 2025 Odds

Newcastle2/133.3%
Belfast5/228.6%
Leeds (Leeds-Bradford)3/125.0%

London (City Airport)8/111.1%

What Counts as a White Christmas?

To settle these bets, snow must be observed falling (not just lying) at the specified airport location at any time on December 25th.

Even a single flake counts but frozen rain or sleet does not.

What the expert says...
Storm Bram is wreaking havoc right now, but punters are already looking ahead to December 25. Odds are shortening for snow in the north, especially Edinburgh and Newcastle, and with colder air behind the storm it’s not out of the question.
