I've spent over 20 years inside the betting industry. I'll guide you to avoid the hype, ignore the noise, and steer clear of the common pitfalls that catch out everyday punters.

  • Harry & Meghan are way down the betting at 3/1 to feature on the BBC lighting a beacon
  • PM BoJo is the favourite at 1/10, joined by Actor Daniel Craig
  • Sports Persons include, David Beckham and Emma Raducanu: Steve Redgrave is the shortest price on the list at 4/5
  • Elton John is an obvious choice at just 1/3
  • Jeremy Corbyn, maybe not so much, you can get odds of 25/1 on him being shown on the BBC lighting one.

There is a cheeky little bet being offered by some bookmakers this week on a list of possible names that might be pictured live on the BBC Jubilee show lighting one of the celebratory beacons.

Whilst PM Boris Johnson and Bond Daniel Craig are both the shortest-priced favourites with Betway at just 1/10 odds, they have also priced up the possibility of Harry & Meghan being pictured during the live show lighting a beacon at odds of 3/1.

Old Dr Who Jodie Whittaker is just 1/4 to be pictured lighting a beacon whilst incoming Ncuti Gatwa is a huge 7/1

The full list includes Departing Dr. Who Jodie Whittaker a very short 1/4 odds, whilst her replacement and next Doctor Who, Ncuti Gatwa is much bigger at 7/1

Potential next prime minister Keir Starmer is not far behind BJ and is available to bet at 1/5, whilst in other political choices, we have First Minister Nicola Sturgeon at 1/2. Jermeny Corbyn is right at the other of the market at 25/1.

The list also contains last years Sports Personality of the year Emma Raducanu, whilst Tyson Fury and Ronnie O'Sullivan who head the betting to win Sports Personality 2022, are both 10/1

David Beckham is a huge 10/1 to be pictured lighting a beacon on the BBC, that could be a huge price among the sporting possibilities, Gareth Southgate is EVENS and Mo Farah and Emma Raducanu are both 6/4

Harry and Meghan to be pictured lighting a beacon doesn't sound like a value bet at 3/1, but there would seem no doubt Boris Johnson will be involved, which is why bookmakers will have you bet £10 to win just £1 on his chance.
