  • George Clarke still favourite to win this year's Strictly

Fleur East favourite to be next Strictly Come Dancing presenter

Bookies are continuing to give odds on who will be the next Strictly Come Dancing presenters with Fleur East leading the way in the latest market with bet365.

East currently presents spin-off show It Takes Two along with Janette Manrara and she has now shortened into the clear favourite to step up to the main show next season.

When the news originally broke it was East who was made joint favourite alongside Rylan Clark, with his odds drifting out to 9/2 for the role.

It's expected that we will see another duo like Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly and then Claudia Winkelman and Tess have been.

The latest betting market gives a 33.3% implied probability that it will be Fleur who is one of the two presenters.

What the expert says...
Fleur East is now the clear favourite to step up from It Takes Two to the Strictly main show, being part of the team to replace Claudia and Tess. With Fleur presenting Strictly's sister show, it could be an easy choice for BBC bosses to make.

Claudia Winkelman and Tess Daly stepping down from Strictly

Just last month, Claudia Winkelman and Tess Daly made a joint announcement that they would be leaving Strictly Come Dancing at the end of the season.

The pair have presented the iconic show together for the last 12 years and now leave big boots to fill for whoever comes in.

Winkelman has seen further success with her role presenting The Traitors, which has been the biggest UK television hit of the year.

George Clarke still favourite to win this year's Strictly

Betting odds are still given for who will win Strictly this year with YouTuber George Clarke remaining the market leader at 5/4.

Clarke has seen massive social media presence throughout the series and betting odds have kept him as the favourite with his massive support a big reason for that.

Lewis Cope's odds have shortened to 2/1 following his perfect 40 scored at the weekend.

Cope is arguably the best dancer of the series in terms of technique and it may well be that the public are starting to back him.
