Anticipation Builds for the Booker Prize

The Booker Prize 2025 is approaching a key milestone, with the longlist soon to be narrowed down to a shortlist of six on Tuesday 23 September.

For the first time, the shortlist reveal will take place at a public event at London’s Southbank Centre, adding to the excitement for one of the world’s most prestigious literary prizes.

The winning author will be announced on Monday 10 November at Old Billingsgate, London, in a ceremony broadcast live on the Booker Prizes’ channels, with the winner recieving £50,000, while each shortlisted writer will earn £2,500 and a specially bound edition of their book.

Maria Reva had shortened into favourite with Ladbrokes ahead of the shortlist announcement and remains that way with less than a week to go.
