I break betting odds news as it happens, so you’re never left behind when the market moves or a top offer lands.

  • Morocco are 5/2 favourites to win AFCON 2025 as they host the tournament for the first time since 1988.
  • Mohamed Salah (6/1) and Victor Osimhen (6/1) are joint-favourites to be top scorer.
  • AFCON 2025 runs from 21 December to 18 January, played across Morocco for the first festive edition.

Morocco Favourites to Deliver on Home Soil

Bookmakers have made Morocco the 5/2 favourites to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with the Atlas Lions aiming to break their 49-year trophy drought on home soil.

Ranked 11th in the world, the highest of any African nation, Morocco head into the tournament with a point to prove after falling short in previous editions.

The host nation kick off the tournament on December 21 against Comoros in Rabat, with the final scheduled for January 18.

The entire competition will be played over Christmas and New Year for the first time, increasing attention and betting interest.

Despite their lofty FIFA ranking and strong squad depth, Morocco last lifted the trophy in 1976, and the pressure from fans and media alike will be immense.

Bet365's latest market puts them clear of the rest of the field to win the prestigious tournament this time around.

All Eyes on Salah’s Final Shot at AFCON Glory

Mohamed Salah is the biggest individual name heading into the tournament, but the Egypt captain is still chasing that elusive first AFCON title.

Having lost in the 2017 and 2021 finals, this may be Salah’s last realistic chance to claim continental silverware.

He comes into the tournament under a cloud at club level.

His public fallout with Liverpool boss Arne Slot over recent weeks has thrown his Anfield future into doubt.

Salah was left out of the squad for Tuesday night’s 1-0 win away at Inter and may not feature again for Liverpool before departing for Morocco.

AFCON 2025 Top Goalscorer Betting

Bookmakers have also released markets for Top Goalscorer, with Salah and Victor Osimhen joint favourites at 6/1.

Salah’s penalty duties and attacking position make him a favourite, but Nigeria’s Osimhen is expected to lead the line and offers a real threat in a good group.
