PROS & CONS of Luckland Sport Online Betting Site

The below is all explained in finer detail later in this review, but these quick pros and cons give users an instant understanding of where Luckland Sport’s strengths lie. 

Who Are Luckland Sport?

Luckland Sport is an Aspire Global site, so comes with plenty of backing. This is the company responsible for a number of successful bookies and casinos, but for the former think the likes of mr.play, Betiton and ZetBet. Since its arrival Luckland Sport has built a reputation for great football betting and great coverage of minor sports.

First Impression of Luckland Sport

By Luke Bradshaw Lee - This review will reflect the product offered at the time of writing. I signed up on the desktop version of Luckland Sport, and used the mobile version to compare, but there is no app to download. 

If you’ve used any other Aspire Global sportsbooks, you’ll feel at home here as the platform in terms of layout is exactly the same. You’ll immediately recognise it, as well as the navigation, with the only major difference being the colour and branding. Once you’ve selected “Sport” at the very top menu, you’ll immediately be taken to all the in-play markets. The main menu down the left-hand side informs you just how many sports, competitions and events are covered here. The slider at the top of the menu bar – which allows you to choose markets from different time frames: today, three days, this week etc. – is an excellent feature.

Luckland Sport Live Betting

As mentioned above, the in-play markets are where you’ll land when you get to the homepage, something that is fairly normal across most sportsbooks, allowing you to then choose to navigate from this page. There are some sports not featured here, snooker for example, which does suggest that the coverage isn’t quite as broad as I first thought, but there’s different esports and badminton covered, which is a theme that we’ll see continue. Luckland Sport Betting Odds

Comparing Luckland Sport’s odds to that of other bookies, as well as checking some comparison sites, Luckland Sport – like other Aspire Global brands – features a solid offering overall. I checked football, tennis and cricket for in-play odds, plus darts and basketball for pre-match and ante post odds. What’s worth highlighting is that Luckland Sport offers odds on some very niche sports (field hockey and futsal, for example), so will be one of the few places you can find odds on such sports at all.

Luckland Sport Betting App or Mobile Site 

In the intro I mentioned that there is no app, which is definitely disappointing. The mobile version is basically identical to the desktop version of the site. That said, on the mobile version there is an additional menu bar across the top for time sensitive tournaments, or competitions that are trending, meaning you don’t need to go through a few different pages to get to something that may be starting in the next few hours. It’s varied so includes (at the time of writing) the NBA play-offs, the Champions League, domestic rugby tournaments and the NHL, among others. It’s very handy.

Luckland Sport Football Betting

We rank every bookie, at every sport, and Luckland Sport doesn’t quite make our best football betting sites in the UK, but it’s still a decent option. The menu panel is telling me that there’s well over a thousand different markets that I can bet on at this moment in time, and that’ll compete with anyone. Beyond that, you can’t argue with the market depth, which is also pretty impressive.

Bet Builder 

I think on the whole, Aspire have improved their bet builder across most brands, because this is definitely better than similar products that I remember. The bet builder function works really well, and has more markets than you initially think – selecting certain markets brings about additional drop-downs and more markets. There’s plenty of player markets – something that can sometimes be overlooked – and it’s hard to fault.

Bonuses

It’s always somewhat disappointing when a bookie lists features such as cash out and bet builder in their promotions page, because these are fairly standard across the board and it’s definitely a stretch to call them promotions. Luckland Sport claims that they reward loyal customers with additional bonuses, which is good to hear, but I’d definitely like to see some more in the way of promotions from the off.

Cash Out

Cashout is a very important betting feature for punters these days so it's crucial that bookies integrate this feature into their mobile betting apps. Luckland Sport have done this well, allowing their customers to instantly cash out their bets on any device they like.

Luckland Sport doesn’t offer horse racing betting at the time of review.

Luckland Sport US Sports Betting

A full range of American Sports is available. We’ll check out the major leagues, but also look into the sports further down the pyramid and, as well as across the globe. 

American Football Betting

Somewhat frustratingly, Luckland Sport does something that is a real bugbear of mine when it comes to American sports, well certainly American football and basketball. That is, when you see the event (a specific game) it only lists the winner and total. What it really should be doing is showing the three main markets: spread, total and moneyline (result). You can see these once you click through, but it’s not how bettors on these sports bet, and calling it Asian Handicap (I know this works in almost exactly the same way) instead of “Spread” jars. The good news is that there are absolutely loads of markets here, including next season’s outrights and NFL Draft markets, which is great to have. Basketball Betting

Luckland Sport has a brilliant selection of basketball leagues to bet on – there are literally hundreds of competitions. Of course there’s the NBA, but Luckland Sport covers the WNBA and a wide range of European and global competitions, including competitions in Colombia, Lithuania, The Philippines, Australia and Turkey, among others. There are also plenty of markets per game, with game, team and player markets covered impressively.

Baseball Betting

Luckland Sport obviously covers the MLB, but has Japanese and South Korean leagues covered, also. The markets, and the odds, especially on the outrights, look very good. The MLB season is well underway and there are loads of things to bet on, including individual awards, as well as all the usual game markets. Keep tabs on the top baseball betting sites though, to see why they make it onto our list.

Ice Hockey Betting

As you’d expect, the NHL is the main draw here. There’s a lot more beyond that, however, with some Finnish, Australian, and German fixtures included, among others. I selected an upcoming NHL game and there are loads of markets listed – more than pretty much anywhere else. For the smaller leagues that reduces a bit more, which is understandable. Overall, I’m struggling to think of any other bookies that have as many markets per game, apart from other Aspire brands.

Luckland Sport Greyhound Betting

Luckland Sport doesn’t offer greyhound betting at the time of review.

Luckland Sport Darts Betting

By Matt Edgar, professional darts player – Compared to most darts betting sites in the UK, Luckland Sport has some ups and downs that need to be considered when betting with them. The outrights on future events are great, but once you click through to individual matchups the number of markets drops quite a lot, and I can’t use their bet builder either. Potentially this increases the closer you get  to the time of the match, but I’d definitely like to see more earlier on. So, maybe head here for some outright or future bets, but don’t expect a lot lot more beyond that.

Luckland Sport Snooker Betting

At the time of the review we’re in the middle of the Champions League, which I can’t live stream unfortunately, but I do like the amount of markets per game that they offer, and generally the odds are pretty good.

Luckland Sport Rugby Betting (Union & League)

For both, there is pretty much every competition that you’d want to be included here, which is brilliant. The only one that doesn’t seem to be there is the Japanese domestic league, but that’s me being very nit-picky, because overall the coverage of competitions is excellent. Luckland Sport Cricket Betting

By James Banting - This is very good because Luckland Sport offers all the competitions that I’d expect to see, plus some others that I wasn’t with some domestic events and leagues all over the globe. I also really like how many markets are available here for each game, assuming it’s not miles away in the future before teams are announced etc. For those that are a bit of a way off, there are still some good futures and antepost markets to take advantage of, so overall I’m pretty happy with the cricket betting here.

Luckland Sport Tennis Betting

By James Banting - At the time of review their tennis section has 290 different tennis markets to bet on, which is impressive enough. These matches obviously cover the globe, with the Grand Slams included, and smaller Challenger events also there. The odds are above average, and there’s loads of markets, but I’d like to see more in-play options. There’s no live streaming, but the stats that feature are pretty good. Luckland Sport Golf Betting

By James Banting - Luckland Sport’s golf offering is about par for the course just about. There are futures markets on all the majors (although no Ryder Cup markets), and there is a selection – around six or seven – of upcoming tournaments of varying sizes. It’s true that you’ll find a bit more at some other sportsbooks (and it’s worth checking our best golf betting sites to see how Luckland Sport compares) but generally this is fine.

Luckland Sport Motorsports Betting

Everything has its own place in the main menu, rather than housed under a “motor sports” banner.  I can see Formula 1, obviously, on top of Speedway and Indy racing. There’s also MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 housed under Motorcycle Racing, and this is all on top of stock car racing, which is also included. Overall I am impressed with the detail in the Formula 1 markets, and if I ever choose to make a stock car bet I know where to come.  

Luckland Sport Boxing Betting

Those this weekend and over the next few weeks have an okay offering, whereas the further away they get the less markets on offer. That’s understandable, and I wouldn’t expect to find round by round and the like for fights that are months away, but I would definitely like more options for big bouts this weekend, and that’s definitely limited based on my experience with Luckland Sport.

Luckland Sport Other Sports Betting

Whilst these sports might sound very niche, there is still a large enough market for fans, and millions of them in the UK, so good coverage of niche sports and events is key to be reviewed on OLBG; let’s dig in a bit further.

Handball Betting

Betting on handball at Luckland Sport looks very impressive. There’s actually over 100 games to bet on at the time of review, and that’s way more than most bookies. There aren’t loads of markets per game, but the odds are great and there are competitions in Bahrain, Estonia, Iceland, Egypt and more listed. Handball is increasingly popular and Luckland Sport looks to be struggling in terms of providing a platform for punters to bet on various handball events and tournaments worldwide. 

Cycling Betting

Luckland Sport offers betting on cycling for sports bettors who like to dabble in cycling betting, and comparing it with others out there it’s what we’d expect. There isn’t a load of markets, but that’s true of anywhere to be honest. What you can get is odds on next year’s Tour de France winner, plus the Classics like the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and Milan-San Remo.

Aussie Rules Football Betting

As far as Luckland Sport is concerned, their event coverage is pretty standard – they have most parts covered. The games, competitions and odds are good, but the actual list of markets isn’t huge per game. It’s not as great as some others out there, but overall they are still a solid option.

Political Betting

By Nigel Skinner - Luckland Sport houses its political betting under “Specials”, along with Entertainment. The political betting is okay, but a bit limited in parts. This is essentially split into UK and US politics, with a decent amount on the General Election, next party leaders and size of majority, and there is a similar offering for the US, but there is nothing from anywhere else around the globe.

Entertainment and Specials Betting

By Jake Ashton - This is a bit basic from Luckland Sport, with some music, award ceremonies and TV programmes covered. It’s tricky trying to work out what determines the offering because things like The Oscars and BAFTAs make sense, but Big Brother Brazil and Festival Di SanRemo seem a little out of place. 

Esports Betting

The esports betting at Luckland Sport is very good, particularly when it comes to the number of different titles covered. Don’t expect to find an “Esports” tab in the main menu, as all different games have their own navigation. There’s a really good selection here, with Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends, Starcraft, Valorant and Call of Duty. Each game is represented well – there are over 70 for Valorant alone at the time of writing.

Virtual Sports

Luckland Sport offers no virtual sports betting at the time of this review.

Casino

Luckland Sport does have casino, which is incredibly easy to find their casino offering from their sportsbook, with banners across the top. Luckland Sport Account Opening Process

A reassuringly easy process. At the top-right of the screen Luckland Sport has their “Join” button. Bettors just need to select this and follow the simple steps as guided through. You’ll be asked for the usual information – name, date of birth, address etc – and once complete be sent a verification email. Clicking this from your inbox will redirect you to the site, and then you’re free to get betting.

Navigation and user experience [desktop v mobile]

I’m surprised that there is no app, because the Aspire Global brands that do have apps work really well. That said, I do like the user experience of Luckland Sport, and I think the same for their other sportsbooks that use the same interface. It can take a little getting used to – especially the way the menu drops down, rather than takes you through to another page, but once you get the hang of it I think it works really well, and does a great job of conveying what is available very quickly. 

Placing a bet

This section should only really highlight if there are issues, as the process is almost identical on every site. Within a few minutes of signing up to Luckland Sport I placed a couple of bets on different sports, one of which took advantage of the welcome offer, and I used their bet builder feature, which was very indeed. 

Managing your account

As mentioned above, the design really helps this along. On the desktop version, it’s stuff to the  left of the screen. On the app, it’s all at the bottom, with just the login at the top. I haven’t experienced any issues logging in, or finding customer service options, either. Overall, it feels like Luckland Sport has got this part nailed.

Luckland Sport Responsible Gambling Features

Expect KYC procedures and document supply as a matter-of-course, to confirm your account after you have deposited a certain level of funds and in the event of any large wins.

Luckland Sport Review Summary 

Most major sports at Luckland have a decent amount of markets, more than most other bookies. There are, however, some that are very limited, and horse racing and aren’t even included at all, so if that’s where you normally bet then you’ll have to go elsewhere. While with US sports, while the actual content is fine there’s too many product/style issues that mean it won’t compete against better services. It’s important to note that some major sports, such as football, tennis and cricket, are covered brilliantly.

That said, bettors of certain sports need to consider a Luckland Sport account because there are markets here that you won’t find anywhere else, or at the very least, will struggle to find anywhere else beyond other Aspire brands. 

There’s next to nothing in the way of promotions, and that doesn’t always matter, but you do want loyal customers to be rewarded for their custom in some way. If that’s not a concern, then there’s a great chance that bettors will find what they’re after here because they haven’t found it at other bookies, and that alone sets them apart for all the right reasons.
