The money-back is generally offered as a free bet but in some cases, can be cash which is a big plus.

This is a good acca insurance offer, especially on same game multis. This gives you protection and adds another aspect to bet builder betting. Many do not have acca insurance on same game multis, + it's only 4 selections. Low minimum odds of 1/5 should cover most of our bets. 

A nice 7 day shelf life of any awarded free bet from this offer is good although the free bet can only be used on football betting with Paddy Power. Low selection criteria and low minimum odds qualification make Paddy Power Acca insurance a good option if your regular betting habits would qualify you for the insurance.

888Sport

888 Sport should be congratulated, a bookie offering acca insurance on other sports is a godsend. We have a lot of members who bet on US sports, this will be a very welcome offer. The £25 is the largest refund of any acca insurance bookie.

We liked the 888 acca insurance, with the odds not too restrictive. The 7 days free bet was very welcome, with so many sports going on in the US. 

5 selections are also decent, as I have a feeling it was 6 last season.

This Ireland based bookmaker gives punters the best choice of sports. It states that acca insurance covers all markets and all sports, which is excellent. Acca insurance is on offer pre-live and live markets.

The £20 is decent and a 7-day expiry is helpful. Paddy Power has fewer selection criteria but doesn't cover all sports. 

We hope Boylesports don't quietly drop this because they are doing a great job with their acca insurance.

The combined odds of 3/1 and individual odds of 1/10 are where Ladbrokes has currently pitched up. The 7-day expiry of your free bet is the norm.

A middling offer from Ladbrokes where we could have expected say a €15 or €20 refund, seeing they are such a big name. We like the 7 days and the 3/1 combined odds are fair. 

BetVictor

The Bet Victor acca insurance asked for 5 legs before a refund could be triggered. It only covered football match betting and BTTS.

Bet Victor OLBG Ireland Verdict:

Bet Victor comes out very well on our best bookmakers for football betting for the football odds they offer. 

You may very well get more value with your selections and can utilise the acca insurance. 

The 3 day limit for use of the free bet means it will only cover midweek games if you bet at the weekend, this should be changed we feel to at least 7 days.  

However, not all bookies are offering acca insurance so BetVictor gets kudos for at least offering this concession. 

Betfair Acca Edge

This is where things differ from most acca insurance promotions.

With Betfair Acca Edge there is the basis of insurance if one leg of your accumulator lets you down but in a different way.

When you select to 'edge' your bet, the odds offered will be updated, and decreased odds for the entire acca will be reduced.

This reduction in odds, is your option to place the bet at the new odds with the insurance of Full Stake Back In Cash' if one leg lets you down.

Betfair OLBG Ireland Verdict:

Whilst Betfair acca edge could be viewed as a pessimistic approach to accumulator betting by accepting lower odds as a form of insurance, the good thing is that you have the choice.

The other added benefit of acca edge is that the money-back is cash, which you are free to use how you please over any given time frame as opposed to a free bet which is dictated when and on what you can use and doesn't return the free bet stake on subsequent winners.

We rate Betfair Acca insurance highly on this basis alone, with the caveat of whether the tradeoff on odds is acceptable for the cashback deal - It's up to you.
