Thorpedo Anna is in stall number 3 which is ideal for her forward going running style, and she should be right on the speed early. This 4YO trained by Kenneth McPeek and ridden by Brian Hernandez Jr has had 13 runs with a win rate of 76.9% and a place rate of 84.6%, which is pretty much an exceptional record. She was below her best when last of seven as favourite in the Grade 1 La Troienne at Churchill Downs over 1m, but that came on the back of three straight wins. Proven at the distance and down in grade she is very much the obvious winner here, but in racing as you know, anything can happen :)

At 7/1, Royal Spa is worth a little play in here. She's rapidly improved, as she's always hinted at doing, for stepping up in trip and is running speed figures that align with either of the top two choices in here. She can be tactical from the inside, and it's encouraging that Prat sticks aboard.

Taxed is very consistent, having seen 22 previous runs end in the top three 15 times, including 5 wins. Two of those wins came here at Churchill Downs. Taxed is well drawn in stall 5, so a good run definitely looks likely.

I am quite surprised Save Time is 40/1 to win this race. It has finished in the frame in each of its three previous runs over this 1m1f trip, including two runner-up finishes and a win when last seen last month over course and distance. That form has worked out well with two subsequent winners.
