Izzys Grey had been falling down the handicap over hurdles and switched to fences and showed more than expected in his first chase over course and distance initially held up he came through to lead three out and probably would have won but for jumping the last two fences to his right and dropping to 2nd place,, a three pound rise should not stop him winning.

Kenzo Des Bruyeres is a proper staying type with proven ability at this trip, and his record at the distance is solid enough to make him a player if he's allowed to settle. His last chase run was a bit 'meh' as he raced too freely and did too much early, but that was a stronger race than this and he's off a short break now, which should help. He's already shown me that he can win around this trip, and his hurdle form is better than his chase efforts so far

Queens Wish last won in November 2025, a 3m chase on good to soft at Southwell, and has raced mainly in better-class races since then. She is now 3 lb lower than at that last win. The only blot was at Southwell when she was never traveling three starts ago. She then ran a solid race over C&D on good ground in a Class 4 on her penultimate start (the winner has gone in again since). Her latest start was a PU when something looked amiss with the tack. James Bowen takes over in the saddle today and he knows the horse. Overall, she has a consistent profile and this race lacks strength in depth.
