7:30 Hamilton Tips

This is a good sprint handicap, with one or two very smart sprinters in the field. None look any better than Corolla Point, who has some very good form in the book. He was just touched off in the Gosforth Park Cup at Newcastle last time, and prior to that was an excellent third to the much-improved Jakajaro at York. He also has course form here at Hamilton and acts with ease in the ground. He has a major chance at his first win of the season.

Wore cheekpieces for the first time when winning over a furlong further at Ayr last time out. The cheekpieces stay on. He will appreciate the drop back in trip, being a three-time course-and-distance winner and a nine-time winner here.

Made a pleasing return over 5f at Pontefract in April, staying on nicely to be a never-nearer fourth on his first start for this yard. He moved up to 6f next time at Newbury, again finishing fourth, and wasn't beaten far at Newcastle last time back at 5f. Kept to that trip here, he has to be a serious contender.

Has been highly tried in Pattern class races. Now drops back in trip and eased in class and should go well here. Decent each-way chance.

Was beaten in a photo finish three starts ago at Doncaster over 5f from a mark of 82, just failing to hold off the late challenge of the eventual winner. She stayed at that trip at York next time, where she wasn't in quite the same form racing off the same mark. She tried 6f last time at the same track but weakened late. No surprise to see her back at 5f here, and she could make the frame at good odds.
